Margaret Ellen (Bennett) Schweiker

WILLIAMSPORT - Margaret Ellen (Bennett) Schweiker, 99, died Saturday, June 05, 2015 at the Williamsport Home. She was born on January 03, 1916 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Mary (Andrews) Bennett. On April 21, 1945 Margaret married the late Fred G. “Dap” Schweiker, Jr. and they celebrated 57 years of marriage together until his death on May 30, 2002. Margaret was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of First Church of Christ (Disciples) of Williamsport, the Jennie L. Hayes Sunday School, the South Williamsport Senior Citizens and served on the board of the Church World Fellowship. Margaret is survived by; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one brother; Raymond A. Bennett, and two sisters; Pearl Fisher and Edith Johnson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. A private family graveside service will be held 11:00a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
