Margaret E. (Roush) Stahl

MILTON - Margaret E. "Ma" (Roush) Stahl, 92, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Riverwoods Nursing Center, Lewisburg. Margaret was born on August 22, 1916 in Sunbury and was the daughter of the late Dolin Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Malick) Roush. She was a graduate of the Sunbury High School and received her LPN from the Practical Nursing School in Danville. On November 13, 1934 she married Franklin Y. Stahl who had died on June 19, 2002. Margaret had worked for many years at Riverview. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton. She had volunteered with the Red Cross Bloodmobile and had done blood pressure screening. She was a girl scout leader and had worked at the voting polls. Everyone went to Ma's for iced tea and roasted peanuts. Margaret is survived by one son; Charles F. "Chuck" Stahl of Milton, one daughter and son-in-law; Mary E. and Robert Albert of Milton, seven grandchildren; David Klees, Jack Klees, Richard Klees, Stephen Klees, James F. Stahl, Charles E. Stahl and Carol A. Yost, 15 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Elizabeth Eskildson of Lewisburg, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson; Randall Stahl, one great-grandson; Richard Klees, Jr., one daughter-in-law; Joyce Stahl, one son-in-law; Jack Klees, one granddaughter-in-law; P. Joan Klees and five brothers; John, Bob, Harry, Bill and Kenneth Roush. There will be a public visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning St., Milton, 17847 where a memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. with the Reverend Cheryl L. Berner officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
