RED LION- Margaret E. (Haugh) Sawmiller Nitchkey, 97, died on Monday, January 25, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry Sawmiller and the late Charles Nitchkey. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born on May 15, 1918 in East Hopewell Twp., she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Carrie E. (Miller) Haugh. Mrs. Nitchkey was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church. Margaret is survived by one daughter, Janet Schmuck and her husband, John of Red Lion; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and three sisters. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, H. Lavere Sawmiller; seven brothers; and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2666 Furnace Rd., Felton, PA 17322.
