Margaret E. (Miller) Chronister

York—Margaret E. (Miller) Chronister, 88, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at her residence in Spring Garden Township. She was the wife of the William M. Chronister who died March 25, 1998. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 2523 Pine Grove Rd, York. A Celebration of Life of Service will begin at 11 AM with her pastor, the Rev. Joel N. Coleman officiating. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born March 13, 1926 in York, she was the eldest daughter of the late Maynard Miller Sr., and Dorothy (Hess) Miller. Margaret was employed as an Inspector with Fincor Corporation for several years until her retirement. She was a very active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church all her life and formerly served there as choir director, head of the Ladies Sunshine Group, pianist and numerous other committees. Mrs. Chronister is survived by two sons, Danny Chronister and his wife, Christine of York and Tom Chronister and his wife, Patricia of York; 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Chronister, Lois Oberdick and Susie Buchmyer; one brother, David Miller and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Maynard Miller, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Capital Fund Raising Campaign, 2523 Pine Grove Rd, York, PA 17403.
