Margaret E. Marr

Lock Haven - Margaret E. Marr, 73 of N. Grove Street, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008 at her residence. She was born May 22, 1935 in Mill Hall a daughter of the late Ralph & Lois (Butler) Bower. Margaret retired from Woolrich Woolen Mills after 41 years. She was married to Richard S. Marr who died in 1993. Margaret was a devoted grandmother and she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. Surviving are five sons Richard A., of Lock Haven, Steven S., Lock Haven, Gregory R. (Cathlene) of Avis, Timothy R., of Lanham, MD and Kenneth N. (Crystal) of Lock Haven. One daughter Ginger J. (Ronald R., Sr.) Tressler of Lamar. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Seven brothers Jonathan of Medford, MA, Robert and George both of State College, Toner of Port Matilda, Harold of Castanea, Richard of Mill Hall and Harvey of Lock Haven. Five sisters Rose Pursel of Lock Haven, Lois Brookens of McElhatten, Kathryn Allen of Ferrandsville, Sarah Korman of State College, Marie Murry of Medford, MD She is also survived by a close friend Cesar Avellaneda of Lanham, MA Margaret was preceded in death by three sisters Carol Perry, Anna Mae Bower and Mary June Bower also three brothers Ralph, Calvin and Larry. The funeral service will be held 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Loganton.
