Margaret E. (Davidheiser) Houtz

YORK HAVEN – Margaret E. (Davidheiser) Houtz, 91, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Oak Hill Rehab in Middletown. She was the loving wife of the late Darwin E. Houtz. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Beaver – Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, with Pastor Charlie Yost officiating. Burial will follow at Paddletown Cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Born July 23, 1930 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Willla (Pecht) Davidheiser. After graduating from Lewistown High School, Mrs. Houtz got married and raised her three sons before she began working as an Office Manager for Robert Cody Associates. Mrs. Houtz was family oriented, and always made sure her family was taken care of. Mrs. Houtz also served as the Treasurer for the VFW Post 537 Ladies Auxiliary in Etters for many years. Mrs. Houtz leaves behind three sons, Michael Houtz (Theresa) of Etters, Steven Houtz (Evelyn) of Dover, and Lester Houtz (Valerie) of Boulder, CO.; four grandchildren, Derek, Cassie, Katherine, and Amanda; two great grandchildren, Willow, and Roman; and two sisters, Mary Aumilller of Milroy, and Edith Nipple of Mifflintown. Mrs. Houtz is preceded in death by four brothers, Wilbur Davidheiser, Donald Davidheiser, Roy Davidheiser, and Franklin Davidheiser; and a sister, Evelyn “Dolly” Kerstetter. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
