RED LION – Margaret Detta (Swords) Wolfe, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nelson Webb and the late William Wolfe. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 24, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor David T. Kominsky officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion U.M. Cemetery. Born October 26, 1931 in Springfield Twp., a daughter of the late Millard and Elsie D. (Flinchbaugh) Swords of Winterstown, she had worked many years at House of Windsor Cigar Co. and prior to that at Kmart. She loved country music dancing, flowers, and her grandchildren. Margaret was a member of Red Lion Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two sons, Michael S. and James D. Axe both of Dallastown; two daughters, Wendy Hirt of Windsor and Darlene Ely of York Haven; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine Snyder of Dallastown. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and Ervin Axe; a daughter, Linda Markel; two brothers, Charles and John Swords; and two sisters, Myrtle Smith and Elmira Rider. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation, 1500 Paxton St., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
