Peggy was born September 4, 1930 in New York, NY. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Murphy) Kuhn. She graduated from Forest Hills High School and worked briefly in the office of Thomas’ English Muffins in New York City. Peggy then moved to York, PA to spend her retirement years near her grandchildren. Peggy very much enjoyed her retirement in York. She loved knitting, playing bingo, cards and dominoes with her friends. She also was thrilled to be able to attend many of her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events while they were growing up. Peggy was famous for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, which she baked for every family occasion. Peggy’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, providing her with happiness throughout her life. Peggy is survived by three children, Peggy Beal (Bud) of York, Alice Dooley of Lindenhurst, NY and Kevin Dooley (Carol Cocchiola) of Binghamton, NY, five grandchildren, Maggie Elligson (Rob) of Parkton, MD, Sarah DeLuca (Joe) of Red Lion, PA, Michael Beal (Anna) of Baltimore, MD, Patrick Beal of Baltimore, MD and Alex Peffley of Binghamton, NY, and six great-grandchildren, Sam, Connor, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Malena and Sophia. Peggy was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Ellen, three brothers, Bill, George (WW II) and Jeff Kuhn, and one sister, Betty Petrus. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, 950 W. Market Street, York, PA.
