Margaret Claire Warren

Red Lion—Margaret Claire (Walter) Warren, 75, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at her residence in Red Lion. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA. A visitation will be held from 2-3 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born July 22, 1942 in Urbana, IL, she was the daughter of the late David O. and Margaret (Van Horne) Walter. Following high school, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in English. Claire was a dedicated equestrian since her teenage years and focused on dressage after college and marriage. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge by teaching others riding. Claire also enjoyed ballroom dancing and reading. An avid bridge player, she played at the White Rose Bridge Club and the Bridge Boardroom. Claire is survived by her brother, Richard Walter; a daughter, Katherine A. Warren and husband, John; a son, James D. Warren and wife, Linda; and six grandchildren, Jason, Ethan, Brian, Elizabeth, Emma and Ava.
