Margaret C. 'Peggy' Scott

YORK- Margaret C. “Peggy” Scott, 79, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at York Hospital. A celebration of life tribute service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Reverend Dr. William H. Cluley officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Ms. Scott was born on August 25, 1932 in Wrightsville, a daughter of the late William C. and E. Catherine (Kline) Scott. Peggy was a 1950 graduate of West York High School and a 1953 graduate of York Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for George Washington University and later for the Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C. until her retirement in 1994. Ms. Scott is survived by a sister, E. Jane Shank of York; a niece, Mary Kyle of York; a nephew, William E. Shank and his wife, Constance of Windsor Twp; two great nieces, Emily M. Kyle of Red Lion and Amanda G. Calato and her husband, Angelo of Virginia Beach; and two great nephews, Phillip M. Kyle of York and Lucas J. Shank of Windsor Twp.
