Margaret B. Tyler

YORK – Margaret (Brown) Tyler, 95, of York died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Pleasant Acres. She was the wife of Allen P. Tyler who died February 19, 1987. A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Tyler’s graveside service will also be livestreamed on the Heffner Crematory & Funeral Chapels Facebook page at www.facebook.com/heffnertributes/live Mrs. Tyler was born March 15, 1925 in York. She was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Sallie A. (Twyman) Brown. She retired from Coyne Textiles in York in 1990 where she had been employed as a pre-hanger. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and the Busy Bee group at church. She was also a member of the Wellington Senior Center and AARP. Mrs. Tyler is survived by her son, Mark A. Tyler and his companion Vicki Smith of Lancaster; her grandson, Samuel Allen Tyler of Harrisburg; and a great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Albert Brown, Jr., Marshal Shamberger, Lorraine Carter and Milton Brown. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
