RED LION- Margaret B. "Whitey" (Hake) Mundis, 82, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Misericordia Convalescent Home in York. She was the wife of Preston C. Mundis. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 23rd. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Windsor Church of God (Holtzinger's), 1125 Manor Rd., in Windsor, PA. Her pastor, The Reverend Anthony Zumbo will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mundis was born in Dallastown on October 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Elmer T. and Mabel (Hildebrand) Hake. She retired from Kapri Kitchens in Dallastown. Prior to that, she worked for the former H. L. Neff Cigar Company in Red Lion. Mrs. Mundis was a member of Windsor Church of God (Holtzinger's) and was a member of the Country Gospelairs for 31 years. She leaves two sons, Richard E. Mundis and his wife Diane of Felton and Alan R. Mundis and his wife Patty of Red Lion; 9 grandsons; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis R. Mundis of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Horne, Hazel Hake, June Patton, and Grace Harvey.
