Howard - Margaret A. “Peggy” (Floyd) Womelsdorf, 78, of Upper Pole Cat Road, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at home with her family by her side. Peggy was born July 23, 1938 in Williamsport a daughter of the late Harry and Adeline (Alter) Floyd. On November 23, 1969 she married Roy S. Womelsdorf, Jr. in Flemington. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2000. Peggy worked as a waitress at the Texas Lunch for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Elk herd, feeding the ducks in Mill Hall, the Sight & Sound program in Lancaster, going for rides and just getting out. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her dear friend Martha Goodling. She enjoyed amusement parks and attending Romola Bible Church. She is survived by one son, Frank (Sharri) Mahaffey of Lock Haven, three daughters, Kim (Jake) Merrill of Howard, Helen (Randy) Wheeler and Anna (Frank) Oppedisano both of Lock Haven. Twelve grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and a brother Carl Floyd of Williamsport. In addition to her parents and husband two sons William Mahaffey and Roy F. Womelsdorf a granddaughter Linda Schrum a sister Eleanor Hoffman and a brother Leon Floyd preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232, Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Bob Maurer officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Bald Eagle Twp.
