Maravene E. Ott

RED LION—Maravene E. (Hileman) Ott, 80, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Paul N. Ott.

A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born May 24, 1942 in Hellam, she was a daughter of the late Walter S. and Naomi (Kauffman) Hileman.

She was employed as hairdresser for many years working with several salons in York and Columbia and also operated a shop out of her home for several years. Later she worked inside sales with various businesses throughout the York and Lancaster areas.

An avid bargain shopper, she was also part of the Equine Singers, enjoyed listening to Elvis and Blake Shelton and loved baking cookies, especially for Christmas.

Mrs. Ott is survived by one daughter, Michelle J. Ott of Red Lion; two sons, Kevin P. Ott of York and Steven L. Ott and wife, Stacey Malchodi of York; one grandson, Brayden D. Ott; two brothers, Walt Hileman and Glenn Hileman both of York and  nephews and cousins.
