Mae (Homan) Trenka

YORK- Mae (Homan) Trenka, 84, of Windsor Township, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of John J. Trenka. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on November 2, 2010. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August18, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at Tri County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Trenka was born in New York, NY on August 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Paul and Marguerite (Gierman) Homan. She retired as a Teachers Aid for Smithtown School District in Long Island, NY after 22 years of service. Mrs. Trenka leaves two sons, Jack Trenka of York, and Dale Trenka of Florida; a daughter, Ellen Murtha of New Jersey; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and a sister Alice Panteli of Delaware.
