AVOCA-Madeline (Pipcho) Condi, 77, of Grove St., Avoca, formerly of Dunmore, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born in Scranton on July 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Lipick) Pipcho. She was a member of St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel Church, Dunmore. For 15 years, she was employed by St. Joseph's Center, Scranton, as a resident technician where enjoyed caring for the children as if they were her own. Mrs. Condi was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Atlantic City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Condi, Sr., who died December 27, 2003, and sisters Regina and Mildred. Surviving are her sons Leonard J. Condi, Jr. and his wife, Loretta, Dunmore; Michael A. Condi and his wife, Tracey, South Canaan; daughter Dianne Penatzer and her husband, Steven, Avoca; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers William, Ledgedale and Robert, Scranton; sisters Dorothy, New Jersey; Susan "Cookie", Scranton and Shirley, Florida. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1000 Main Street, Avoca. The Reverend Mark Bochinski will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made St. Ann's Basilica, P.O. Box 111, Scranton, PA 18504. Arrangements are by Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca.
