Madaline C. (Becker) Knisely

YORK - Madaline C. (Becker) Knisely, 91, formerly of Red Lion, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at York Hospital after a brief illness She was the wife of the late Clarence E. “Bud” Knisely. The couple had been married for 66 years when “Bud” passed away on October 5, 2004. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Knisely was born in Glen Rock on June 24, 1921, daughter of the late Miriam A. (Smith) Becker and Roye C. Becker. She was a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting, putting puzzles together and was a mother of three. She leaves two sons, Edward E. Knisely and his wife Sara of York and Bradley L. “Ink” Knisely and his wife Janet of Red Lion; a daughter, Barbara R. Rhine-Roth of Red Lion, wife of the late John Roth; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a great, great granddaughter; two brothers, Rowe and Marley Becker both of Red Lion; and two sisters, Nancy Becker and Shirley Becker Olphin, both of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Becker Heindel and a brother Cearon Becker.
