Mabel J. Hall

TROY - Mabel J. Hall, Age 89, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Troy Community Hospital. Mabel was born June 24, 1922 in Springfield Township, PA daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Ina Blanche (DeGraw) Abbey. She was married to the late Robert N. Hall. Mabel was employed for Sylvania Electric in Troy and later in Towanda. She for the most part was a homemaker and loved devoting her time to her family. Mabel enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for her family members; she also loved flowers and her houseplants. Her memberships included the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church and the Women’s Birthday Club. Survivors include her son Robert L. (Phyllis) Hall of Cayuta, NY, her daughter Connie V. Allen of Wellsburg, NY, a step-brother, Richard Abbey of Horseheads, NY, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents, husband Robert N. Hall, son, Jerry R. Hall on May 12, 2010 and a sister Gertrude Freeland, predeceased her. Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 PM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church. Her memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 PM with Reverend Chris Nauta officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Harkness Cemetery, Springfield, Township, PA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W.
