M. Jean Bechdel

HOWARD - M. Jean (Snoke) Bechdel, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1930 in Chambersburg a daughter of the late Wilbur and Viola (Weingert) Snoke. She was married to Glenn M. Bechdel who died June 1, 2005. Mrs. Bechdel worked for the Olde Mill Shop in Woolrich. She was a member of Howard Christian Church, Lock Haven Hospital Auxiliary, Friends of the Ross Library, Eastern Star, Clinton County Christian Women’s Association. She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and attended Lycoming College. Mrs. Bechdel taught Sunday school and was a Cub Scout Leader. Surviving are two sons; Joe (Joan) Bechdel of Blanchard and Neil (Julia) Bechdel of Murphy, SC. Two granddaughters Lori Bechdel and Amy Bechdel both of Blanchard. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Don Crane officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Private burial will be at Christian Bechdel Cemetery, Liberty Twp.
