RED LION - M. Eugene 'Curvie' Waltermyer, 79, died on Monday, December 1, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Robinson) Waltermyer. The couple planned to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on December 24. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Reverend Steven Schmuck officiating. Viewings will be from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and 9-10 a.m. on Friday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery. Born on April 12, 1935 in Chanceford Twp., he was the son of the late Sterling A. and Hester L. (Kilgore) Waltermyer. M. Eugene was a mason for Jack Hoffman, a mechanic and most recently worked maintenance for The Village at Kelly Drive. Mr. Waltermyer enjoyed hunting and fishing, bowling and baseball. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Along with his wife, Patricia, M. Eugene is survived by one son, Jeff Waltermyer and his wife, Kay of Collinsville; one daughter, Brenda Boyd of Dallastown; six grandchildren, Wendy Boyd, Chad Boyd, Amy Jo Coy, Kristin Rehmeyer, Alishia Waltermyer and Brandon Waltermyer; five great grandchildren, Makenzie Boyd, Dalton Boyd, Kaitlyn Trautfelter, Cassidy Coy and Avery Rehmeyer; and one sister, Donna Mae Kilgore and her husband, Jon of Red Lion.
