M. Beatrice (Scott) Wolfgang

YORK- M. Beatrice (Scott) Wolfgang, 84, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Wolfgang, Jr. The couple had been married for 53 years. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, PA 17408 with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Visitations will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born on April 25, 1928 in Atkins, VA, she was a daughter of the late Calvin L. and Virgie N. (Musser) Scott. Beatrice was a 1946 graduate of New Freedom High School and attended Thompson’s Business School after graduation. She worked at Seiling Furniture Factory and also at York Corporation. Mrs. Wolfgang was a charter member of Hayshire U.C.C. She was also a member of the Outdoor Country Club, York Women’s Club, York Heritage Trust and volunteered at the American Red Cross, York. Bea enjoyed gardening, bowling, golf, bridge, and corresponding and meeting with her former classmates. Mrs. Wolfgang is survived by a son, Mark C. Wolfgang of York; two daughters, Carol A. Martin and her husband, Marvin of Glen Rock and Jane M. Wolfgang and her fiancé, Brian Vogin of West Lawn, PA; three grandchildren, Rikki Martin, Brandon Keeny and Matthew Keeny; two step grandchildren, Eric Martin and his wife, Mona and Jason Martin and his wife, Brandy; two great step grandchildren, Kylie Martin and Dakota Martin; a sister, Hazel Cowles of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Caskey.
