RENOVO - Alfred M. "Big Al" Lyons, age 69, of Leidy Township, died at Williamsport Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2009. He was born on September 22, 1939 in Essex, Maryland, son of the late George Fisher and Jane McGlannon. Al worked in the trucking industry most of his life, often serving as a terminal manager. He was a member of the Kettle Creek Hose Co., Tamarack Sportsman's Association, Trout Unlimited Club, and F.&A.M. Lodge 806 in Warminster, Pa. Al was an avid hunter and fisherman, both fresh and salt water, and loved wintering in Key Largo, Florida. He is survived by his loving companion: Carol Camm, three sons: Alfred (Danielle) Lyons Jr. of Perkasic, Pa., Brian (Kristin) Lyons of Churchville, Pa., and Leck Lyons of Bethany Beach, Delaware. Two daughters: Kelly Ann Lyons of Tampa Bay, Fla. and Eileen Lyons of Bethany Beach, Delaware, 11 grandchildren and one great grandson. Also surviving are two brothers: John Lyons of Bethany Beach, Delaware and George Fisher II of Essex, Maryland, one sister: Jeannie O'Connor of Essex, Maryland and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering to be held at Kettle Creek Hose Co. is being planned and will be published when scheduled. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
