Lynn R. Sherman

MILTON - Lynn R. Sherman, 67, of Milton, died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Lynn was born on September 3, 1942 in Corning, NY and was the son of the late Robert L. and Louise G. (Gee) Sherman. He was a 1960 graduate of North Penn High School and graduated from Mansfield State College and obtained his B.S. in Education. On January 14, 1967, he married the former Marcia W. (Ward) Sherman, who survives and celebrated 43 years of marriage. He was an elementary teacher at Blossburg Elementary School, worked for Commonwealth Bank and Trust and Watsontown Products. He was last employed at YBC for the past 20 years. He was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Lewisburg where at one time he was a member of the vestry. He was also a member of the Milton Elks Lodge, Muncy Masonic Lodge and Williamsport Consistory. He was a former member of the Turbot Hill golf course. In addition to his wife, Marcia, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law; Randy G. and Judy Sherman of Blossburg, one sister; Susan S. Hackett of Bloomsburg, one aunt, one uncle, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog "Tiki". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Lenora Pequignot. There will be a gathering of friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 215 S. Derr Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837 where the memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. The Reverend Peter Harer will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, "Outreach". Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc., 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
