Lynn E. Knights

BRIGGS CREEK, OR- Lynn E. Knights, 57, of Troy, PA passed away accidentally on July 5, 2010 in Briggs Creek OR, due to an ATV accident. He was the loving husband of the late Debra L. (Barnes) Knights who passed away on February 8, 1979. The couple married on February 9, 1976. Lynn was born on September 19, 1952 in Troy, PA, son of the late Albert LaRue and Alma G. (Munsey) Knights. He was a U.S. Army veteran and after was a driver for several trucking companies, retiring from Lott Trucking in Ithaca, NY in 2008. After retiring, Lynn lived his passion of gold mining and prospecting in Northern California and Southern Oregon. He was Presbyterian by faith. Lynn is survived by his daughters: Angela (Glen Willow) McFall of Canton, PA, and Andrea Michelle Knights of Sayre, PA, his grandchildren: Jonathan McFall, Nicholas Willow, Aley Willow, Nina Jones, Jaiden Jones, and Aliya Cole, his brother Howard (Cathy) Knights of Warren, PA, and his sister Virginia (Robert) Jordan of Elmira, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Debra. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Lynn's life will be held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 15th at the funeral home with Rev. Garry Zuber of the First Baptist Church of Troy officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of Lynn's family. There will be a time of food and fellowship with the family at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Troy Vets Club, 1 Veterans Drive, Troy, PA.
