WELLSBURG, NY - Lynn D. Perry, Age 54, of County Route 60, Lowman, NY passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Lynn was born March 30, 1957 in Sayre, PA son of Nola K. (Morgan) Perry and the late Delos J. Perry. He was a graduate of SRU High School where he excelled in wrestling. He and the former LuEllen (Lu) Roberts were married on August 21, 1976 at the Wellsburg United Methodist Church and would have celebrated 35 years together on Sunday. Lynn was employed as a Merchandiser for Seneca Beverage in Elmira. He loved spending time with his children especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Ridgebury Sportsman Club and in his spare time enjoyed throwing horseshoes and riding his Harley Davidson. Survivors include his loving wife LuEllen (Lu) Perry of Lowman, daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea & Travis Schwartz of Orlando, FL, Jamie & Cory Rightmire of Horseheads, NY, sons, Jesse & Jessica Perry of Horseheads, NY, Brian & Sarah Roberts of Maiden, NC, 9 1/3 grandchildren, his mother, Nola K. Perry of Fassett, PA, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Dale “Butch” & Lisa Perry of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Cecil & Mechelle Perry of Rockwell, NC, sisters and brother-in-law, Ann & Kenneth Shock of Wellsburg, NY, Cheryl Zabady of Elmira, NY, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His four legged companions, Pugsley and Lola. Lynn was predeceased by his father Delos J. Perry and his sister Lois Jean Benjamin. Family and friends are invited to call from 3 to 7 PM Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Lynn’s Celebration of Life will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM with Reverend James Carr of the Wellsburg United Methodist Church officiating. Following the service everyone is then invited to the Ridgebury Sportsman Club on Centerville Road for a time of food, beverage, fellowship and remembrance. Interment will be Saturday, August 20, 2011 with the funeral procession leaving Roberts Funeral Home at 10 AM going to Hanlon Hill Cemetery where Lynn will be laid to rest.
