Lynda E. (Daugherty) Lowder

YORK- Lynda E. (Daugherty) Lowder, 70, of Manchester Township died Friday, May 24, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of George E. Lowder. The couple celebrated their 47th Wedding anniversary on December 18, 2012. Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Lowder was born in Yorkanna on September 27, 1942, the daughter of Ovide R. Daugherty residing at Country Meadows and the late Betty E. (Smith) Daugherty. She worked as an Executive Secretary for McCrory’s in York for 28 years. Mrs. Lowder was a member of the former United Methodist Church of Dallastown. Along with her husband George, she leaves her daughter, Tamera L. Bennett and her husband Todd of York; two grandchildren, Paul Edward Bennett and Elliot Jacob Bennett; a brother, Glenn R. Daugherty of Red Lion; and a sister, Emma May Otto of California.
