Lydian S. (Gross) Brenner

YORK -Lydian S. (Gross) Brenner, 83, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at the home of her son, Jack and daughter-in-law, Karen. She was the loving wife of the late Stuart L. Brenner, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brenner was born October 12, 1925 in Hanover, PA, a daughter of the late Dewey S. and Estella M. (Berkheimer) Gross. She was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother; her family always came first. She enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City and playing bingo with her family. Mrs. Brenner is survived by two sons, Jack L. Brenner and wife, Karen L. of York and John H. Gross and wife, Diane Y. of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Stephanie A. Brenner and Chad A. Brenner, both of York; a great grandson, Jacob W. Brenner of York; and two sisters, Mary Davis and Helen Nelson, both of York. She was preceded in death by a brother Dewey Gross.
