Mill Hall - Lydia E. Andrus, age 87, of Mill Hall. died at Lock Haven Hospital on Sat. July 21, 2007. She was born in Lock Haven on April 11, 1920, daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Maughmer) Gramley. Lydia was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church of Lock Haven, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and devoted her time to her family, especially her children. She worked as a laborer in the Sylvania plant for some time, and also at the Lock Haven laundry during the war. Surviving is her son: Darhl (Marie) Andrus of Dumfries, Va., daughter: Judy (Donald) Harter of McElhatten, seven grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Also surviving is her brother: William J. Gramley Jr. and sister: Margaret Fulger both of Mill Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ethan in 1985, her son: Ethan A. Andrus Jr, grandson: Shawn Andrus, one brother, and several sisters, half brothers, and half sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Steven Shipman officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials are requested to St. John's Evangelical Church. Condolences may be sent to www.bestlifetributes.com.
