Lydia Ann (Stern) Brenneman

DALLASTOWN- Lydia Ann (Stern) Brenneman, 91, died Friday, November 8, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nelson Vernon Brenneman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Dr. William H. Cluley will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in (Lebanon) Lutheran Cemetery in Felton. Mrs. Brenneman was born in Lower Chanceford Township on January 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Joseph Ervin and Lydia Ann (Horner) Stern. She worked as a seamstress at the Red Lion Sewing Factory. Mrs. Brenneman was a member of St. Paul Evangelical (Lebanon) Lutheran Church in Felton. She was generous and enjoyed helping numerous charities with donations. She also enjoyed taking her family on numerous trips and vacations and was a collector of memories. She was the last surviving member of her siblings. Mrs. Brenneman leaves her daughter, Hazel J. Ruppert of Dallastown; three grandchildren, April Flaharty and her husband Greg of Windsor, Crystal Wiland of Felton, and Shane Brenneman and his wife Renee of Dallastown; six great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, John, James, and Louis Stern and two sisters, Jeanie Orwig and Kathryn Phillips.
