Lucy I. (Hoke) Rentzel

NORTH YORK- Lucy I. (Hoke) Rentzel, 89, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late George W. Rentzel. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 9-10a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend W. Michael Langford will be officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Rentzel was born in Seven Valleys on July 11, 1917, a daughter of the late Michael and Millie (Stine) Hoke. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in York. Mrs. Rentzel leaves three sons: Jerry L. Rentzel of Emigsville and his wife Geraldine, George R. Rentzel of York and Jeffrey L. Rentzel York and his wife Teresa, two daughters: Lisa K. Rentzel and Judy R. Rohrbaugh both of York, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Rentzel, three brothers and three sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 1300 N. Beaver Street, York, PA 17404.
