Lucretia E. Fake

RED LION- Lucretia E. (Riale) Fake, 91, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Fake. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Canadochly Cemetery in York. Her pastor, The Reverend Paul N. Frank will be officiating at the service. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mrs. Fake was born in Windsor Township on November 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Clyde Urey Mary “Marie” E. (Arnold) Riale. She retired in 1990 after 36 years of service as a switchboard operator for Top Flight Corporation in York. Mrs. Fake was a life member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Freysville, where she participated in the Open Circle Sunday School Class, W.E.L.C.A., and the retiree group. She grew up on the family farm, was a graduate of Red Lion High School, and enjoyed gardening. She was a founding member and active in the Green Thumbs Garden Club, that served the Red Lion community for 65 years. She was a member of Shrewsbury Lutheran Home, Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Fake leaves a daughter, Sharon Gardner and her husband James of Florida; two grandchildren, Holly Briese and Troy Alagood; two great grandchildren, Jared and Ryan Briese; nieces and nephews, Dennis S. Peters and his companion Trudy Frey, Donald L. Peters, and Joyce E. Breneman and her husband Denny; and a cousin Galen Sechrist. She was preceded in death by, a daughter, Melanie Alagood and her late husband James; two sisters, Helen L. Riale and Ruth C. Peters and her late husband Douglas.
