Red Lion—Lucille M. (Beck) Dellinger, 93, was called to heaven, Monday, May 10, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Merle C. Dellinger with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage. A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Charles W. Salisbury, officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the church. Burial will be held in Red Lion Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Dellinger was born March 13, 1917 in Red Lion, a daughter of the late J. Harris and Ada (Markle) Beck. She was employed with Clark Jacobs Cigar Company as their first female floor supervisor and retired after 40 dedicated years. A life member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the church's widow club and a child care saint in the nursery for over 30 years. She was also a life member of the Early American Steam Engine Society. Mrs. Dellinger leaves to cherish her earthly legacy several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nephews and extended family and friends who love her very much. She was preceded in death by her 12 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Early American Steam Engine Society, C/O Sue Knaub, P. O. Box 652, Red Lion, Pa 17356 or St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave, Red Lion, Pa 17356 or VNA/Hospice, 218 E. Market Street, York, Pa 17403. A true angel was called home with her passing.
