MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP- Lucille E. (Reidenbaugh) Weist, 79, of York, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dr. Jay Carl Weist. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2008 before Jay had passed away. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at First Church of The Brethren, 2710 Kingston Rd. in York. The retired pastor, Reverend Curtis W. Dubble will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Weist was born in Lancaster on March 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Harry Martin and Marian Marie (Nies) Reidenbaugh. Mrs. Weist was a member of First Church of the Brethren in York, she attended Temple University School of Nursing, and served on the Board at the Childrens Home of York. She was past President of the York Dental Society Auxiliary, held various positions on the PTA, and was instrumental in starting the day care program at York First Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Weist leaves three sons, Curtis Jay Weist and his fiancee Barbara MacHale of Baltimore, Michael Andrew Weist and his wife Kim of Indianapolis, IN, J. Philip Weist and his wife Donna of York; two daughters, Debra Weist Coleman and her husband Patrick of Ellicott City, MD and Lucinda Weist Manera and her husband Jim of Malibu, CA; nine grandchildren, Sean Coleman, Ryan Coleman, Caroline Weist, Josiah Weist, Adam Weist, Brett Weist, Rebecca Weist, Isabella Manera, and Francesca Manera; a sister, Linda Ann Reidenbaugh Barnett of Richmond, VA, and a daughter-in-law, Robin L. Weist. She was preceded in death by a son, baby David R. Weist, two brothers, Lowell Henry Reidenbaugh and P. Bert Reidenbaugh, and a sister, Jane Eleanor Reidenbaugh Carper.
