Lucille B.M. Johnston

WELLSBURG N.Y.- Lucille B.M. Johnston, Age 91 of 564 Johnston Road, Gillett, PA passed away Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Bradford County Manor, West Burlington, PA. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, June 12, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Lucille's funeral service will be held at the funeral home 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 13, 2009 with Pastor Rob Wuethrich of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church officiating interment will follow in Hanlon Hill Cemetery. Lucille was born July 13, 1917 in Berlin Germany the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Friedrich) Sindermann. She and the late Russell O Johnston were married August 26, 1939 and celebrated 68 years together. Ironically Russell passed away just one year ago on June 10, 2008. Lucille was a devoted homemaker and mother she found great joy in caring for her family. She was a member of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church and the Gillett Senior Citizens. She loved animals especially her dogs and pet fish. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas & Elaine Johnston, Raymond & Jane Johnston, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Kevin Yaggie all of Gillett, PA, foster children Jimijoe Salsman of Maine, Andrea & John Champion of Sayre, PA, a brother-in-law, Harold Murdock of Sun City West, AZ, sister-in-law, Dorothy Donald of Wellsburg, NY, seven grandchildren two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Lucille was predeceased by her parents, her husband Russell O. Johnston, a brother Heinz Sindermann and sister Hilda Murdock.
