Lousie M. Vanveghten

Louise M. VanVeghten, Age 94 of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away peacefully Saturday, June 14, 2008 at home. Louise was born August 9, 1913 in Checkerville, PA daughter of the late John and Emma Dunbar Mason. She was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Springfield Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at the Sylvania Plant in Towanda, PA. She found the greatest joy in life in spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Louise also enjoyed helping others in need, traveling and reading. She was a lifelong area resident and will be deeply missed by all her family and many longtime friends. A celebration of Louise's life is being planned. Her husband, Maxwell G. VanVeghten, sisters, Hilda Furman and Mary May a brother Jack Mason and son-in-law, George Page, Jr, predeceased Louise. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W.
