EAST BERLIN- Louise V. (Sterner) Lentz, 71, formerly of York New Salem, died Wednesday; April 4, 2007 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Stanley E. Lentz to whom she was married for 46 years. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with her pastor, the Reverend John Foster officiating. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, and 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery; Codorus Township. Mrs. Lentz was born June 12, 1935 in Spring Grove, a daughter of the late Virgil G. Sterner and Renie E. (Myers). She was employed by J. H. Stern Garment Co. until 1961 at which point she became a homemaker. Mrs. Lentz loved music and played the organ for the Community Church of God in York where she was a member. She also belonged to the York New Salem Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lentz is survived by two brothers, David G. Sterner and Philip E. Sterner both of Spring Grove; two sisters, Betty J. Shaffer of New Oxford and Mildred A. Bricker of Glenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death a sister, Nancy E. Sterner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of God, Organ Fund, 601 Wallace St., York, PA 17403.
