Louise M. (Lebourhis) Thieme

E. Berlin—Louise M. (LeBourhis) Thieme, 68, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Colonial Manor Nursing Center. She was the wife of Jay L. Thieme. A celebration of life service will be held at a date to be determined later. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Thieme was born January 13, 1939 in Washington D.C., a daughter of late Rene and Fausta LeBourhis. After graduating from high school, she went to attend American University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was the founder and presently employed as executive director of the Parent Education Network in York for the past 27 years. A dedicated employee, she served on many local, state and federal committees and task forces, serving the needs of children with disabilities and their families. Previously, she was employed at Phineas Davis Jr., High School as an Art Teacher. Louise had a special place in her heart for all animals; no animal was too big or small for her to care for. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Thieme is also survived by, one son, Jay D. Thieme of Berwyn, and one daughter, Elizabeth A.
