Louise (Lascala) Sosnoskie

POTTSVILLE - Louise Sosnoskie, 86, of Pottsville, formerly of Harrisburg, died Thursday morning at the Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian St., Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on August 25, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Kutch Lascala. She attended Pottsville Schools. Until retiring, she was employed as a nurses aid at the Polyclinic Medical Center, in Harrisburg and as a seamstress for a custom drapery company. After retirement, she worked at Wendy's. She lived in Pottsville for the last ten years. Prior to that she lived in Harrisburg where she took care of her family and her late husband Edward, whom she married on November 27, 1947. Louise was a member of St. Patrick's and a former member of St. Joseph's in Pottsville, Louise loved cooking, even during football games she would serve her family their meals with a smile. Any time that her family needed sewing or mending, Louise was always there to fix them. She enjoyed camping and beach vacations with her family. Surviving Louise are: two sisters, Angeline Dudish, Pottsville and Mary Lascala, Virginia; six nieces and nephews, Sandra Griesbaum, Pottsville, Matthew Dudish, Pottsville, Karen Gelting, Deer Lake, Kathleen Lascala, Virginia, Theresa Lascala - Chuprinski, Mohton, and Anthony Lascala, Pottsville; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a brother Frank Lascala. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 3rd at 10:30 AM from the Church of St. Patrick, 4th & Mahantongo St., Pottsville. Family and friends may call from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville, on Friday morning from 9:00-10:15 AM. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
