Williamsport - Louise L. Baumer, 90, of Tucker Street, Williamsport, died at the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center on Thursday, December 11, 2008. Born in Williamsport on August 27, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary "Mammie" (Swartz) Berry. She was the wife of the late John F. Baumer, who died on September 09, 1976. Louise was a machine operator at GTE Sylvania, Montoursville, retiring after forty years of service. She was a member of the New Covenant United Church of Christ, Williamsport. Louise was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Ladies' Auxiliary, and the GTE Sylvania Retirees Club. She was also a volunteer at Rose View Manor, Williamsport. Surviving Louise is her daughter, Christine L. (Michael) Marchese, of Williamsport; and her grandchildren, Michael and Kimberly; her brother, Charles Berry, of Baltimore, MD; and her sisters, Clara Berry and Alice Samar, both of Williamsport. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. As per her wishes, there was no visitation or service. Family interment was in the Montoursville Cemetery.
