Louise K. (Kilby) Dodson

York—Louise K. (Kilby) Dodson, 92, died Tuesday, October 09, 2012 at her daughter’s residence in Manchester Township. She was the wife of the late Cletus “Slim” M. Dodson. A Graveside Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born September 12, 1920 in Remington, VA, she was a daughter of the late Seware K. and Willie S. (Welch) Kilby. She was employed with McCrory’s Distribution Center in York for 20 years as a group leader until her retirement in 1981. A dedicated homemaker for her family, she was a wonderful cook and loved feeding her family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and tending her flower and vegetable gardens. She was also an avid bowler and participated in 3 York area bowling leagues. Mrs. Dodson is survived by one daughter, Kathie M. Kohr and her husband, Jim of York; two grandchildren, Gregory J. Kohr and his wife, Rachel of York and Timothy S. Kohr of York; four great grandson, Connor, Nathan, Aaron and Eli Kohr and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
