Lorraine (Folk) Rowlands

YORK- Lorraine (Folk) Rowlands, 91, died on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Allen C. Rowlands. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastors Janyce Jorgensen and Benjamin Erzkus officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Northwood Cemetery in Emmaus. Born on June 17, 1926 in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Wilson D. and Myrtie H. (Kline) Folk. Lorraine was a secretary at PA Power & Light until her retirement. Mrs. Rowlands was a 70 year member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus and currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was past President of the Emmaus Women’s Club. Lorraine enjoyed sewing and needlecraft as well as traveling the world. Mrs. Rowlands is survived by her son, James Rowlands of York; and grandson, Bennett Rowlands. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Folk. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. John’s or Zion Lutheran church.
