Lorraine F. Flinchbaugh

RED LION – Lorraine F. (Breneman) Flinchbaugh, 94, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Howard K. Flinchbaugh. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Paul Lebanon Lutheran Evangelical Church, 6955 Rippling Run Road, Felton with her pastor, The Rev. Kathleen Kuehl officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-10:30 AM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Flinchbaugh was born on July 15, 1922 in Windsor Twp., a daughter of the late Ernest D. and Hazel L. (Bowser) Breneman. Lorraine enjoyed working alongside her husband on their family dairy farm. She had also worked at Stewartstown Sewing Factory and Leader Convalescent Home. Mrs. Flinchbaugh was a member of St. Paul Lebanon Lutheran Church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Mrs. Flinchbaugh is survived by two daughters, Brenda J. and husband David Reiker and Karen F. and husband Richard Doyle both of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Renee Martin, Landa Flaharty, Sarah Doyle, Adrienne Seufert and Matthew Doyle; seven great grandchildren, Kelsey Flory, Kyle Martin, Ella and Clara Oberlander, Adrienne, Annalise and William Seufert; two great great grandchildren, Regan and Reid Flory; and a sister, Ruth Smith of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Nelson, Rodney and Carroll Breneman; and three sisters, Geraldine Herbst, Janice Stern and Betty Stern. The Flinchbaugh family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Home Helpers in Red Lion, Compassionate Care Hospice and SpiriTrust Lutheran for their exceptional care during Lorraine’s illness.
