Lorne V. Hess

YORK- Lorne V. Hess, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Roth) Hess. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 3, 2006. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 p.m. on Friday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 6-7 p.m. His pastor, The Reverend David Taualofai will be officiating at the service. Mr. Hess was born in Dover Township on December 24, 1929, a son of the late Harvey and Gussie (March) Hess. He retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, prior to that he worked for Pennsylvania Stone Cast Products in West York. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in York. Mr. Hess leaves three sons: Lorne Hess, II of Lancaster, and David and Gerald Hess, both of York, two daughters: Debra Fann and Barbara Hess, II, both of York, 6 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth Becker of Jacobus.
