Lorie E. Mcginnis

YORK--Lorie Elaine (Dosch) McGinnis, 70, died peacefully Saturday, February 5, 2022 at York Hospital in York, PA, after courageously fighting cancer for five years. Lorie was born in York on August 9, 1951, daughter of the late George and Rhoda Dosch. Lorie graduated from Eastern York High School, Class of 1969, and from Millersville University, Class of 1973 with a degree in Education. She taught at Canadochly Elementary School in the Eastern York School District for 38 years. Lorie’s life was dedicated to service. She was the church organist at Mt. Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church for 55 years. She also was the secretary for the Canadochly Valley Ambulance Club for over 25 years; and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma service organization. Lorie is survived by her husband, Dale McGinnis of York, and her brother, Wayne Dosch of East Prospect. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Chapin and Paden, and cat Birdie. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3pm, Sunday February 20, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church, 5615 Mt. Pisgah Rd, York. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Ed Zeiders. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
