Loretta M. "Honey" Adams

York—Loretta Mae “Honey” (Keister) Adams, 74, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William E. “Sonny” Adams. Born November 5, 1941 in Manchester, she was a daughter of the late Jesse W. Keister, Sr., and Vada S. (Cave) Keister. She was employed with York Hospital for several years in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 2001. An avid Jimmy Johnson and Penn State Fan, she had a passion for fishing, always caught the biggest fish and encouraged everyone to “fish on”. She also enjoyed camping, cooking and going to casinos, but above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Adams is survived by three daughters, Penny E. Culp and her husband, Danny, Leesa M. Murray and her husband, Albert and Billie Jo Depew and her husband, Lindsay; eight grandchildren, Mandy Lewis, Michael Adams, Jennifer Zeigler, Derick Adams, Ashley Zeigler, Brittany Adams, Albert Murray and Andre Murray; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two brothers, Charles and Robert Keister; two sisters, Helen E. Eaton and Shirley Keefer and daughter-in-law, Gina Zeigler. She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce E. Adams; one brother, Jesse Keister, Jr., and two sisters, Dora Wagner and Patricia Knudsen. The family wanted to acknowledge Michael and let him know how grateful “Grandma” was for all the help he gave and time he devoted to her over the years.
