WILLIAMSPORT - Loretta E. Gavlock, age 74, of Cross Fork, died at Manor Care South on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010. She was born in Renovo on March 5, 1936, a daughter of the late Harry C. and Lillian Croak Finnefrock. Loretta was Methodist by faith and attended Sunset Memorial Chapel in Tamarack. She worked as a production line person for Sylvania Co. in Galeton for many years and, more recently, served as the manager for the Renovo Senior Center for several years. She was a member and past master of the Tamarack Grange, member of the Democratic Women's Club, member of T.O.P.S., and a former P.T.O. member. She loved traveling, was an accomplished cook, enjoyed gardening, and loved family time, especially with her grandchildren. Surviving are her sons: Edward (Paula) Finnefrock, Andrew (Lynn) Gavlock, and Paul Gavlock all of S. Renovo, Walter Gavlock of North Bend, and Philip Gavlock of Cross Fork. Also surviving are grandchildren: Lance, Colette, Rebecka, Andrew II, Mitchell, Daniel, and Nicole, a brother: Harry Eugene Finnefrock of Corning, N.Y., sister: Gladys Sampsel of Liberty, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband: Walter A. Gavlock in 1971 and two brothers: Richard and Thomas. Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 with Pastor Mahlon Nevel officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday.
