TUCSON, ARIZONA - Lorene Charlotte (Brown) Bell, 49, formerly of Williamsport, daughter of Grabrella L. Brown, of Williamsport and the late Robert Wright, departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2009. Mrs. Bell was stricken while visiting friends in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lorene left the Williamsport area in 1985 and made her home in Tucson, AZ. Lorene was born September 11, 1959. She was educated in the Williamsport public school system and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Williamsport. Mrs. Bell loved to sing, dance, cook, enjoyed eating food and had a special fondness for gold and pearls. She was a very neat person and could often be found wearing her favorite colors, red and blue. While in Tucson, Lorene had a variety of jobs. She was last employed by the City of Tucson. In addition to her mother, Gabrella, Lorene leaves to mourn her passing, a son; Detrell Jamar Brown and his daughters; Alexis and D'Nia of York, sisters; Pearl A. Brown of Williamsport, Gaynella Smith and Roberta (Irving) Dano of Norfolk, VA, brothers; Roger Brown of Williamsport and Robert Brown of Harrisburg, her companion, Ira Broadway of Tucson, AZ, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother; Steve Brown, maternal grandmother; Cordie C. Brown Tanner and paternal grandparents; Jack and Pearl Jenkins. The Homegoing Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport. There will be a public viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. The Reverend Georgia Brown will officiate the services.
