Lois E. Williams

YORK - Lois E. Williams, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Williams to whom she was married for 59 years.

Family and friends are invited to honor Lois’s life at the York City Campus of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 350 Chestnut St., York on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. There will be a viewing from 10-11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Jade Frederick. Burial will take place at Mount Rose Cemetery.

Born on January 22, 1926, in York, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna S. C. (Schwartz) Diffendarfer. Lois dedicated 25 years of her professional life to Danskin, where she demonstrated her strong work ethic and commitment. In her free time, she embraced a personal life marked by her love for crafting and creating intricate towel cakes for baby and bridal showers, showcasing her artistic talents.

Lois was proud to have completed her GED, reflecting her belief in the importance of education throughout her life. A long-time member of the Faith Bible Fellowship, she recently found her spiritual home at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol E. Jobe and her two sons, Dennis K. Williams and his wife Vanessa, and David J. Williams and his wife Carol. Lois was a grandmother to nine grandchildren, a great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandmother to two great-great grandchildren. Lois was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Williams, along with nine siblings, who now welcome her into the eternal embrace.
