Lois M. (Shoemaker) Catherman, 79 of McEwensville died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville. She was born October 12, 1932 in Watsontown a daughter of Thomas and Irene (Pick) Shoemaker. Lois was married to Abraham L. Catherman on September 8, 1962. They celebrated 41 years of marriage together. He died October 29, 2003. She retired from American Home Foods in 1995 after 32 years of employment. Lois was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Milton and a long time member of the ECW. She was a member of the Blue and Gold Employees Club. Lois was an avid supporter of the Navaho Reservation Family of Sawmill, AZ. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and listening to country music. Lois enjoyed gardening and flowers. Surviving are two sons James Ellis (Faith) Catherman and Steve Catherman also five daughters Rosemary Ellis (Pedram) Amiri, Bonnie (Randy) Follmer, Barbara (Roger) Miller, Lori (Carson) Benner and Molly (Ken) Maneval. 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. One brother Harold (Ruth) Shoemaker and four sisters Ruth Metzger, Dorothy McNett, Charlotte (Victor) Williams, Doris (Ephraim) Gifford also a brother-in-law Jim Springman. She was preceded in death by a grandson Lenny Yocum, one sister Jean Springman, and three brothers Tom, Marvin and Richard. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton with the Rev. Ronald Lausch officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Old Cedar Cemetery, Lewis Twp., Union Co.
