Lois M. Patterson

SPRINGETTSBURY TWP. - Lois M. (Leiphart) Patterson, 81, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth L. Patterson. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009, at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 9-10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Patterson was born in Craley on March 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Harry & Eva (Frey) Leiphart. She retired in 1990 after 25 years of work for Gichner Shelter Systems in Dallastown. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening and then canning the bounty. Mrs. Patterson leaves two sons; Jeffery L. Patterson and his wife Patricia (Crone) of Manchester and Jody L. Patterson of York; a daughter, Jennifer P. Mundy and her husband Ronald of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Brett Patterson of Dallastown and Britt Marie Dillon of Brogue; four great grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; a sister, Mary Gohn of Yorkana; and two nieces, Nancy Leber of Craley and Patricia Howard of Yorkana. A brother, Harold Leiphart preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA), P.O. Box 544, Ambler, PA, 19002.
